What a sweet capture Sue. I see you are spoiling him with the meal worms and deservedly so. f/v and feature in Song Birds And Small Birds Of North America. Congratulations. :)

Another great shot of the bluebird, Sue! Love that he has to try to get all the worms in his beak at once! f/v
Sue Melvin replied:
Thanks, Heidi! Yes, it's hysterical watching them, as no matter how many worms you put out, they try to pick every one of them up in one visit for fear that another bird will get them before they return from feeding their young! They can work at it for quite awhile, dropping them and picking them up over and over! :-)

Cute! One is good, but 5 is better! Sue did you put these out for the blue bird to feed its babies?
Sue Melvin replied:
Thanks, Roena! Yes, I feed the bluebirds meal worms during the summer months while they are raising their young. We just love it when they bring their babies to the dish to feed after they have fledged! :-)
